Ahead of the 2016 Local Government Election, I was commissioned to update a number of designs for the Lord Mayor's team. The client had used documents of the same style for the previous two election cycles, and I was asked to refresh the suite of templates. Brisbane City Council has 26 wards, so I had to ensure every template could be easily and successfully modified for many candidates.
This work involved liaising directly with stakeholders to ensure press ready files supplied were designed to the correct specifications. This included correspondence with apparel, digital, static billboard, and offset printing companies.
From a consistency perspective, this was a challenging project with two existing brands to navigate. The client and their party both had strict style guides and as such there were some legacy items I was unable to alter. Overall this body of work focused on finessing Team Quirk's brand to be more sophisticated, deliberate, and colourful.
