Maya Walker is a Brisbane based communications professional and graphic designer with years of experience and dedication to marketing and aesthetics.

After completing a degree in both painting and communication design, Maya graduated from the Queensland College of Art with First Class Honours.

Working with individuals, small businesses, and large organisations over the last decade, Maya has demonstrated her keen eye for brand, marketing, and diverse communication materials.

As a communications specialist Maya has managed Brisbane City Council's annual $2 million corporate communications budget. Managing high volume design and large print runs, she has worked with print and digital production companies across the globe to deliver the best outcomes for her clients.

Maya is passionate about accessiblity and ensuring messages connect with audiences. In the digital space she has delivered and implemented world first technologies for university student service centres.

Working in frontline customer service roles early in her career has given Maya the experience to streamline corporate communications. She has done significant work managing social media for diverse clients, and also led communications to students during QUT's first ever period of 100% online teaching and assessment due to COVID-19.

The breadth of her work spans communication plans, content writing, social media management, branding, print and digital design, writing and implementing new business processes, managing and supporting communication teams, plus much more. Maya has unparalleled attention to detail and brings years of experience in policy and governance from her time working in both private and government sectors.
